Chocolate Strawberry Roses

Valentine’s Day is HERE and you probably want to do something special for that significant other. Make these chocolate covered roses and display them in a cup with some chocolates or mini heart candies. Nothing is more romantic than you taking the time and preparing something thoughtful, the best part about it? Is takes very little time to make and can be used for many other occasions.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup Dark chocolate
1/2 cup White chocolate or (any colour)
6 tsp canola oil
1 box of Fresh strawberries
20 lollipop sticks

Instructions:
1. Using a glass bowl melt the chocolate in the microwave in increments of 30 seconds and stirring each time, making sure it does not burn. This should take in total of 1-1.5 minutes.

2. Stir in 3 tsp of oil into the dark chocolate, and the rest into the white chocolate.

3. Cut off the tops of the strawberries and clean and dry well. Using a lollipop pierce it into each strawberry and dip it into the chocolate, place it onto the baking sheet with parchment paper. To avoid having a flat edge on your strawberries, you can also place them in a cup.

4. Put it in the fridge and wait 3-4 hours before serving.
