This year a lot of us won’t be spending Valentine’s Day in a restaurant or at a movie like usual. Here’s six romantic date nights you can enjoy with your partner all from the comfort of your home.

1) Make Fondue
If you want to do something that’s fun, easy and delicious I highly suggest fondue. Enjoy dipping and tasting a smorgasbord of savoury items like cheese, meat, artisanal bread and veggies for your main course. Then for dessert you can move on to a chocolate or caramel fondue and dip things like strawberries, bananas, and marshmallows.

2) Have a Movie Night
Set up your living room to be the ultimate move experience. Get all your favorite snacks and drinks, make some popcorn and cuddle up with a cozy blanket watching your favorite movie, an old classic or something you’ve never seen before. For an added touch put up twinkle lights and put the phones away for the full experience.

3) Do a Paint and Sip
Staying in doesn’t mean you can’t have fun! Try your own at home paint and sip. Find a painting you want to make online and try it freehand, or sign up for a virtual paint and sip class to follow alone with. Don’t forget your wine (or beverage of choice) and a variety of yummy snacks.

4) Have a Home Spa Night
If you’re looking to relax and give your partner some pampering this year consider an at home spa night. Gift them (and yourself) a robe and some soft slippers to really amp up the occasion. Massages, foot rubs, face masks and a nice soak in a hot tub are all great ways to relax and enjoy each others company.

5) Cook a Meal Together
Cooking a meal with your partner is a fun way to bond. Try a new dish neither of you have ever had or make something you both know and love. Make it a whole experience with appetizers, drinks and dessert at the end. Set the table and give yourself the restaurant ambiance for an added touch.

6) Have a Cocktail Tasting
If you and your partner love cocktails, wines or beers, set up a tasting date. Learn new cocktail recipes to impress them or buy a couple bottles of new wine to try. Make a charcuterie board to munch on while you sip to really round out the experience.

Whatever you decide to do this Valentine’s Day remember it’s now about where you celebrate or even how you celebrate. It’s about celebrating your love and celebrating your partner. Happy Valentine’s Day!
